Taking Your First Step In Becoming A Photographer

March 28, 2008

Photography is a huge subject with a myriad of things and skills to learn and master. It may seem intimidating at first but once you have taken your first step to commiting to learn to master photography, you have already won half the battle! Nothing beats the sweet satisfaction of being able to sweep people off their feet and blow them away with your pictures after you have spent hours or even days trying to capture that picture-perfect photo out in the sweltering heat or blustery cold or after trying and trying and taking tons of picture just to get that image right! But i tell you, it is all worth it. Nothing tells a story better than a picture. A photograph can empower our imagination and ennoble our dreamy ideals. Okay I am at the risk of sounding ‘preachy’ now haha. Anw don’t be afraid, just shoot away!

Btw, if you have not gotten a camera or rather have a camera that really suits you, here’s something i read about in a blog by Renzie that may be helpful for you. http://renziebaluyut.blogspot.com/2008/03/whats-good-dslr-for-newbie.html. I thought his recomendations on DSLRs for starters were pretty informative and clear. However, you do not neccessarily need a DSLR in order to take great shots. A DSLR is good when you are ready to venture into more serious photography once you get the hang of it, this is mainly because it is much more expensive especially if you would like to purchase lenses and other accessories. Hence, I would say that if you’re serious in commiting to learning photography by all means get a DSLR! You will definitely have alot of fun playing around with your new toy:). However, a good compact digital camera will do just as fine as long as you know how to manipulate the settings in your camera. I will talk about that in my future blog posts:). I personally use a Sony Cybershot DSC-T100 to take alot of random pictures.

Anw, I have just created a survey on digital photography as I am coming up with a new product on digital photography for beginners that is something like a cut-to-the-chase, tell-me-which-button-to-push kind of manual that teaches beginners how to master photography and take breath-taking pictures the simple and easy way with no confusing jargons or technical terms. Stuff that will enable you to take great pictures even with a camera phone! I have a whole lot of ideas whirling around in my tiny brain but i just need to recollect these thoughts and put them on paper!

So anw i need your help! Please pretty please, feel free to take my survey. It’s Digital Photography Survey. It’s just five freaking questions! To thank you for your time, please leave me an email or a comment at the end of this post to let me know that you have taken my survey and I will gladly send you my product for free when it is completed:)
